The Algerian Love Knot is an exotic necklace worn throughout Casino Royale by Bond girl Vesper Lynd, played by Eva Green. It was supposedly given to her by her lover; James Bond notices that she has finally removed it while in Venice; shortly afterwards she betrays him and kills commits suicide.

James Bond is clearly still affected by her death in Quantum of Solace and carries the Algerian Love Knot necklace in his pocket as a keepsake. It is only though the events of Quantum of Solace that he comes to terms with her betrayal and death.

The Algerian Love Knot was commissioned specially by the producers for Casino Royale. Designed by Sophie Harley, it consists of an elaborate design of three interlocked silver rings with details highlighted by gold plate.

Such was its popularity that it inspired more affordable versions in sterling silver, such as the one shown on the right.
